The Stampin' Schach Design Tips: A Modified Window Card
This finished card measures 5-1/2" wide by 4-1/4" long.
- Peek through the window! A Labels Collection Framelit was used to cut a "window" in the fabulous Mustard Gingham pattern from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper. The Pickup from the Countryside stamp set was inked in Crumb Cake ink, stamped off once, and then stamped onto Very Vanilla. Next, the Remember When sentiment from Word Play was inked in Early Espresso and over-stamped on the truck image. This was then positioned behind the window and adhered to an Early Espresso card base.
- A trio of leaves! The three challenge colors were used to ink the trio of leaves from French Foliage. They were then snipped out and clustered together. I added a snippet of retired Hemp Twine and a Garden Green button. Doesn't that little "pop" of green make quite the visual statement? And if you need a snippet of Hemp Twine, just email me. I bought three packages before it retired and I will share a snippet with you!
- A signature pearl! A single Early Espresso leaf on the right of the window, offsets the "heaviness" of the left side. And of course, a single Basic Pearl makes the "pearl-fect" accent!

Wonderful. Everything about it is wonderful. Thanks for the ideas. And for the trees - don't see much of that down here in Florida : )
OMGosh! This card is gorgeous, as well as that beautiful fall foliage. Thanks for sharing both! I love the collage of leaves and the button accent. I have both stamp sets you used and cannot wait to CASE this card. That color combination is perfect for fall.
Oh, Ann! I love this! A perfect Fall card. Your leaves look so real.
Ooops, forgot to answer the question about other images to use . . . I say pumpkins!! I love that truck with the apples, but pumpkins would would also work or that "fat" tree from Lovely As A Tree. I may end up making more than one of these cards. :) Thanks again for sharing!
What a great card! Love everything about it.
Beautiful! Love the faded image behind the sentiment and the leaves are gorgeous!
I Love everything about this card Ann...your leaves are STUNNING ~ wow...thanks for sharing a have a wonderful day!!!
Fabulous card Ann! Your leaves look like real. TFS and I love the pic of the tree too.
So beautiful, love the fall colors and the leaves are fabulous
Lovely, Ann
love the cutaway for the old car. and those leaves . . . glorious in conjunction with the fall photo!
Good inspiration for a masculine card!!! Thanks, I always need those...
Great card, Ann! Fall tends to be kind of a time for "remembering" and reflecting. Another image that comes to mind for fall is a Cornacopia filled with fruits.
Beautiful card Ann, so very fallish. I really like your pop of green from the button.
Such a lovely creation! The truck stamped ever so lightly in the background is a perfect image for the sentiment.
I knew it , it's beautiful !! Love it

You've got fall color! I'm so jealous. We're barely starting to change here. I am having so much fun with the Orchard Harvest ds paper. It is really a great series.
Love it, Ann! The window with the stamped image is perfect. Truly a stunning Fall card. What inspiration you had with those gorgeous trees too!
Beautiful card Ann. Love the colors and the design. The leaves look like they fell off those wonderful trees from your walk. Christmas images would work well with this technique too.
I really like the look of the sentiment stamped over the image. The cluster of leaves and the single leaf with the pearl are fabulous.
I think a window card would be nice for Christmas and flower cards.
Beautiful trees!
Stunning!! Love your leaves, the window with the old truck combined with the perfect sentiment! Another home run, Ann!!
Great card as usual, Ann. Love the sentiment over the muted image!
Gorgeous! I just love fall with the riot of the color. These leaves look like they could have come from our trees! Gorgeous! Anyway, love the plaid too. I had to giggle at the signature pearl! Fantastic job as always!

Beautiful card, Ann and lovely layout. I really like the way the leaves frame the image! I think pumpkins, trees, even the Christmas lodge stamp would look great in this technique!
The window cut out revealing that great old truck is fabulous, and the sentiment overstamped is just so perfect. Your pop of color with the green button atop those beautiful leaves was an inspired decision-it really makes the whole card me.
Fine looking card Ann. I just love it and have a few male b-days coming up that this would be nice to copy and send to them.
Stunning card, Ann and love the use of the label die as a window/frame.
Ann this is a gorgeous card and I LOVE the fall colors. I agree about the pop of green, just perfect. I LOVE French Foliage and did not get the new set, as I see no need with having these beautiful leaves to choose from.
I really like to over stamp (usually on the inside of my cards) but I think that the tractor from Havest Blessings, the clock or tree from Forever Young, or the ship or globe from Open Sea would also work great.
I too would love to CASE this card. Hugs.
Your leaves are fabulous!
Hi Ann! I'm a little late this week. As much as I enjoy this time of year, I just wish it wasn't so busy! The big sugar maple tree on your walk is just breathtaking. What a wonderful view.
Your card is just adorable. So warm and cozy with the dsp pattern you chose. Your leaves are breathtaking and the cut out window is so cool. This would be great with any sets matching the scale of the sentiment. The big Sunflower, the tree from Forever Young, Quint-Essential Flower, Betsy's Blossoms flower, Tea Shoppe large cup, You Are Loved heart, and of course Christmas Lodge tree would be great trying this technique. I think the truck and sentiment you used are perfect though! Wouldn't this make a fabulous grandpa card? Oh I think so!
Hope you have a terrific weekend!
The leaves are GORGEOUS then to have them surrounding that beautiful old card makes for a stunning creation!
So fun, so fall! Love it, Ann!
Lovely card Ann! Those leaves are fabulous! Such a pretty tree to admire on your walks with Muffy!
