The Stampin' Schach Design Tips: Shabby
This card measures 5-1/4" square.- Leaves! The leaves from French Foliage were stamped in Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, and More Mustard. They were then snipped and distressed with Crumb Cake ink to produce a fall bouquet of leaves focal point!
- Clip and Curl! The Thoughts of You sentiment, from the Loving Thoughts set, was inked in Soft Suede and stamped onto Naturals Ivory card stock. A few snips transforms it into a banner which takes on even more personality when curled and distressed.
- Pearls! Using the Diagonal Plate and my Simply Scored tool, the base was scored every inch on the diagonal, in both directions. Pearls were then added at the intersections!
It was fun getting down and dirty with all of this distressing! Yes, I know...there are tons of pearls on it. But if you don't want to use the pearls, the diagonal scoring provides an interesting touch! And with just a switch of a sentiment, you would have a card which would be perfect for a fall wedding or birthday! As always, your comments are important to me, so won't you please let me know what you think of today's card? And of course, never hesitate to email me if you ever have questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use. Until next time...
Quick Note: I will not have easy access to the Internet this weekend. I am accompanying Muffy and Lexi to a four-day dog show. Brody and Dad are going to be having bonding time while the girls are away! I'll be back home Monday night.
Stamp Sets: French Foliage, Loving Thoughts; Inks: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, More Mustard; Card Stock: Naturals Ivory; Tools: Sponge Dauber, Paper Snips, Simply Scored with Diagonal Plate; Glitz and Glam: Basic Pearls

Oh Ann, this is truly awesome! Those leaves are gorgeous, I love how you layered them! And that scored background with all the pearls is truly elegant! What a wonderful card for any occasion!
Hope you and the girls are having fun, good luck to both of them! And I know Dad and Brody are having some great "man-to-man" time!
Stunning Ann...just stunning! I've enjoyed all your cards created with French Foliage, but this one is my favorite. The leaves pop against the soft scored background. A truely beautiful card, I love it!
Oh my! Gorgeous as always dear friend! Those pearls just make the card!
As always, your cards amaze me. Love the pearls, just the right touch and only you could do it. The leaves look so real...nice job
This is lovely, Ann! I adore the scoring with pearl accents. Brilliant idea!

So glad you had fun getting down and dirty!
The scoring and pearls make a great background.
I wish the girls and boys a fun weekend.
Wow!! This is absolutely stunning Ann! That scored background with the pearls is soooo pretty (must try that SOON!) and I love how the autumnal colours pop off the neutral background. Thanks for the inspiration and also for your kind and encouraging words - they mean a lot!
Your card actually took my breath away Ann when I first looked at it. It is drop dead gorgeous! An incredible work of art. I can't say enough about it!
I love fall! And I am so ready...it was 96 degrees here yesterday. Too hot! So your lovely falling leaves provided me with a wonderful reminder and promise that cooler, crisper days are ahead. I love the way you distressed the leaves...beautiful!
Ann OMG this has got to be one of my all time favorites of yours. The French Foliage leaves are so real looking and the curled banner is just right. But the stamped and embossed background is So gorgeous... I LOVE the BG embossing but the added pearls takes if over the top for me.
Hugs.
Good Luck this weekend at the show.
Love the card Ann. The leaves look so real, I can almost hear them crackling. I really like the scored background, sure adds texture. I hope you had fun with the girls this weekend.
*gasp!* This is just gorgeous!
Beautiful!!
Love the color choice and the way your pearls almost look like snow :) Well done mf~
this card ann is beyond beautiful. those pearls took my breath away and your stamping is gorgeous. i thought there was gesso on them. wow you do the mixed media/vintage so well without the typical tools. a pro!
Beautiful vintage look. Love all those leaves and the colors you chose. And wow, those pearls give it just the right touch of elegance.
What a beautiful card! That is my all time favorite leaf set.
Love, love, love this card! Wonderful colors and textures galore! I am woindering, would the pearls distress too? I know you usually use a permanent marker on them but I am wondering about taking just the clean white edge of the pearls off. But, then again, they wouldn't the center of attention, would they? Distressed pearls or not, this is one honey of a card. Hey, why doesn't SU come up with a color called honey? With the realistic appeal of those leaves, thank goodness there is not a squirrel around to look for the acorns!
