The Stampin' Schach Design Tips
The finished card is 4-1/4" wide and 5-1/2" long.- Faux Watercoloring! Watercoloring with Blender Pens and inks is so easy! This adorable duo from Greeting Card Kids was tinted using the following inks: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse, and a Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker. It doesn't get any easier!
- A "Friendly" sentiment! The "Friends" sentiment from the Sweet Essnetials set was inked with Early Espresso and stamped onto a snippet of the Writing Paper pattern from the Storytime Designer Paper collection. To add extra interest, paper piercing was done using the Essentials Paper Piercing Templates and a Vintage Trinkets Safety Pin was added.
- Curl the Corners! The corners of the pennant were curled and accented with a Linen Thread Bow.

What a great card! The safety pin makes me think of the kids getting ready for school and finding a rip or a missing button, and having to make a quick repair or they'd be late. The pennant is very intriguing to me and makes quite a statement on the card. I love it!
I had an idea your sneak peak might be this combo, as I think you're in love with the color combo, dsp & the good ole' stamp set; tfs!
These two kiddos are adorable and definitely look ready for school! I bought this DSP just because of the card you made for me - I love it! Sweet card!
Love this sweet card, Ann! Lots of wonderful details. I need to pull this set out and use it again. Thanks!
Oh Anny, I love this card. I agree the Storytime papers are wonderful for cards and other thigs for kids! I used the MDS Storytime kit for a scrapbook of my grandies!
Ohhhhh I love the vintage feel! This is sweet! The rolled corners and sponged edges are fantastic touches! Your colouring is fabulous too! Need to dig out my blender pens. Those images are the sweetest! Wish I had them.
Ann this card is absolutely adorable! Your coloring is fantastic and I love all the little details like the pin, linen bow and rolled corners. Great out of the box thinking with the pennant--it makes for a fabulous background! ((hugs))
SQUEEEEE!!!!! Adding this one to my CASE list! SO CUTE!!
Super cute with the curled pennant and ruler! And, of course, the darling image.
Another great card. Perfect for back to school. Love all that detail.
This is adorable. Don't you just love those kids?

So pretty, Ann! I love the paper and the watercoloring! The layout is just phenomenal, as always! You are a rockstar, Ann!
Ann this is such a cutie card! I really love the mix of the patterns and colors. Love your pierced flag, how clever and it really adds interest, as does the curled ends. So stinkin' cute.
Hugs
PS: I only use blender/ink to water color too. Otherwise I get everything too wet! Love those little kids... so WHY don't I have them yet? I keep ordering from the mini and my order total gets UP there and I always forget!
Very cute Ann!
One of my favorite images---I almost used this one myself! SO cute, I love the background you created. Just adorable!
Yuo deserve an A+ for this card! Love it! Great coloring and what fun little details. I really like the big pennant and the rolled corners. The safety pin reminds me of having a tag with your named pinned into your jacket though I don't really know if my mom did that. My clothes were probably the littlest in the class - a far cry from now! Anyway, love the card.

So adorable. That lined paper brings back memories (from a lonnnnng time ago) of learning to print and then do cursive writing. I do miss sending my boys off to school on the first day. There was always so much anticipation. Hopefully, they'll get to enjoy it with their children some day.
Your cards always show that you put a lot of thought into your project. What a great layout on this one. Great combination of papers and such a cute image!
What a darling card, Ann. You did such a nice job! I love this stamp set. It's one "I had to have".

Sweet card. Love the colors and cute image.
Hi Ann! What a sweet little card for back to school! Your coloring is an A++ girl! You give highlights and shadows and it is just perfect. I love your added cheeks and knees too. The two dies you used are great two, add just that little touch of extra goodness! It is hard to believe that back to school is just around the corner for my kids. Maybe some more card making time for me though. ; )
this is so adorable
AH, what a cute and adorable card. Hard to believe that school will be starting soon
So stinkin' Cute!!! Brings back memories of me and the neighbor walking to Kindergarten all those years ago! Love it!
So cute Ann!! I love the images in this set and you've coloured them perfectly. Love the layout with the dsp you've used as well!
Adorable little girl and boy all ready for school! Sweet pennant shape and fab detail...love it!
Ann this stamp set is so darn cute and didn't you get it to work for you! Great use of a pennant for the background (you could almost say it looks like an ice-cream cone, for the girl and boy). Lots of interest going on here, love all the details, especially the ruler.

Gorgeous! I have this stamp, but could never color it as well as you did. It is a favorite stamp set though. I love every detail on your beautiful card.
Ann, you are moving to the head of the class with your top notch coloring skills, indeed! Such a perfect card for back to school and the color are so fresh and vibrant. It's al about the details, my friend, and this year at Homecoming, you will most certainly be voted in "Detail Queen" at the School of Schach! Ok, I better take the puns down a notch. I think my pain meds for my tootsies are starting to kick in again. Lol! Hope I made you smile today! Have a super rest of your day! Hugs!
Your blender pen skills are amazing. I've got blender pens, but really have no idea how to use them like this. I love the look!
Absolutely darling card Ann! Love all the interest you have added with your clever details. Your blender pen colouring is fabulous too!
