Warm Winter Wishes for Freshly Made Sketches

It's Wednesday and time to play at Freshly Made Sketches.  I decided that this week's sketch would work perfectly for showcasing the Winter Memories stamp set and the fabulous Core'dinations Card Stock, both which will be available August 1st.  Despite its lace, glitter and pearls, this card still maintains a warm, country feel, courtesy of the rich texture and small patterned Designer Series Paper.  Enjoy!

The Stampin' Schach Design Tips:  It's All About the Details
The finished card measures 5-1/2" wide by 4-1/4" long.
  •  Icy Brocade! The new Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder becomes an icy confection when treated to a dusting of Dazzling Diamonds!  It forms the perfect backdrop for a watercolored pair of  skates.  A trio of Basic Pearls add a touch of elegance.
  •  Warm woodgrain! Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock is the perfect partner for the new Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This look was achieved without sanding.
  • Tulle and lace! Try layering the new Scalloped Tulle Ribbon over Victoria Crochet Trim for a unique look!
  • Cut and curl! Paper piercing adds that "little something extra" to the "Warm Winter Wishes" sentiment.  Flag one end and curl the other for a sentiment that is out of the ordinary.
I hope that you enjoyed today's card.  Since it is actually much prettier in person, I will be sending it off to one of you so that you can check it out up close and personal.  I really like both of the new embossing folders...how about you?  Won't you let me know in today's comment?  Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one.  And remember, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away!  Until next time...

(Stay tuned for my Convention Adventures...My "broken Internet" is scheduled to be fixed today!  There are few things worse than to come home from Convention only to find that you have no way to share it! "I am...frustrated!")

Stamp Set: Winter Memories; Inks:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green; Designer Series Paper:  Snow Festival;  Card Stock:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso Core'dinations; Tools:  Paper Piercing Tool, Heat Tool, Big Shot, Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,  Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Two Way Glue Pen, Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder, Paper Snips, 2-1/2" Circle Punch; Glitz and Glam:  Victoria Crochet Lace Trim; Vintage Trinkets, Basic Pearls, Early Espresso Scalloped Tulle

This is a great card. I need to try that new card stock. Perhaps today! I am still trying to get organized from convention. It is very frustrating when the computer/internet isn't working. Hope you have it up and running soon. How are your "babies". I imagine Muffy is happier now!

Ann, I love it! Rich, warm, elegant, beautiful!

I do love the new embossing folders. I used the woodgrain folder the other day on a card. I am amazed with the deep design we get from SU embossing folders. Thanks!

Ann this is GORGEOUS! Those skates are my favorite stamp in the whole set...I'll probably buy just for that stamp.
I LOVE how you did the tulle and lace.. so cool and the core dinations papers looks fabulous with the woodgrain. Wowzer! Love love this card.
PS: Sorry about your internet problems ... hate when that happens.
I'm off to my annual gal pals golf weekend... so won't be around, but can't wait to see your convention news when I return. I did see a few photos of you on other blogs and looked like everyone had a blast!
Hugs

This is wonderful, Ann! Love how warm and country-ish it is! Now I see how much I need to get that wood grain EF, what fabulous texture! I hope your internet is up and running soon, it's amazing how much we rely on it! I hope the furbabies did well while you were gone and I'm sure all of them were very happy to see their Mommy!

Welcome home! The tulle and lace look gorgeous together. Love the glitter on the lacy EF. So happy to see your signature pearls on the cute image.

Hi Ann, welcome home! No internet, that stinks! I really miss mine when it is out but it does make us appreciate it when it comes back on. I just love this cozy Christmas card! It has a nice woodsey cabin feel to it, like you could grab those skates and glide on the frozen pond outside. I just love it! The two new embossing folders are beautiful. I love how you added the sparkle to the lacy one and the woodgrain one looks so natural. I bet Kim and the furry children were very happy to see you come home! Looking forward to seeing your highlights when your back up and running.

Hey, good to hear from you. And, yes, I do like the new card, even if ice-skating here is virtually unknown. I'm glad you're back, and I can't wait to hear about your trip. I saw some pictues on FB.

Ann, your card is beautiful with all the new products, ribbon, embossing folder. How did you apply the glitter to the embossing? Would love to know. I am still trying to get rested up from convention. It was oh, so much fun.

Such a beautiful card, Ann! I loved the way that you combined so many different elements to make such a lovely cohesive design. Just gorgeous. How are your babies? I was a little unsure about the whole Core-dinations cardstock thing until I saw this. I love the subtle cracked look the Woodgrain EF creates. And the Dazzling Diamonds really make a wonderful backdrop for the little skates. Just a wonderful, warm card all around!

Texture and depth and touchable elements are why I stamp and make cards, and yours excels in all ways. Love it! As far as new embossing folders--yay!

Your card makes me anxious for Winter! I'm tired of the heat here in Southern Illinois and no rain! I love your card! It makes me think of being in a rustic cabin with a frozen pond near by! I love that thought! :)

Don't you just love the Core-dinations CS?! I started buying this particular CS about a year ago. I love, love your card and all it's embellishments! AWESOME!
