It's Sunday and time to "Play with the Players"! This week The Paper Players are hosting a theme challenge...School Daze! I can tell you that the Design Team has created adorable projects and cards this week! I hope you will join us for "Show and Tell"!
The Stampin' Schach Design Tips: The Basics
- Watercoloring 101! For quick and easy watercoloring, I always use Blender Pens and ink. I simply touch the tip of the pen to the ink pad and color away! Make certain to shade around the image to add depth and to ground the image. Get A+ results each and every time!
- Intro to Embellishments! The new Mini-Clothespins provide a cute way to attach a tiny tag. You'll go to the "Head of the Class" for showing innovation and creativity!
- Stampin' Math for Beginners! Think in threes! Three buttons, complete with Baker's Twine bows, accent the curvature of the Scallop Circle mat. Follow the "Rule of Three", and your cards will always "pass the test"!
I hope that you enjoyed today's relatively quick and easy card! Your comments are always important to me, and I do read each and every one. So please let me know what you think of today's creation! And of course, I am always ready to answer your questions about the cards that I make and the techniques that I use.
And the Winner Is...
The winner of the Sweet Scoops Stamp Set and retired Designer Series Paper is...Kimberly S.
- Goodness sakes!! This card is BEAUTIFUL!! I LOOOVE butterflies...but they look FANTASTIC on this letterpress plate! I gotta get that one soon! GORGEOUS creation!!

Hope all is well with you, your family and the Twins! Things are a tad busy here once again so I'm way behind in blog reading/commenting.
Oh my gosh, this is just the cutest card! I love the spiral edge punch too and can't believe it's now retired. I too like to use the blender pen and ink for watercoloring, yours is just beautiful! Love all the wonderful details and thanks for sharing the "rule of three" with us!

Awesome coloring and great tips. Those kids are so darn cute. I love the use of the clothespin and the baker's twine. D
This is incredibly cute. All the little details are perfect!
Adorable! Great Back to School look! Love the ribbon and the clothespin - and I will never retire that punch - it is a great accent!
Another adorable set of twins! :-) Great watercoloring and I love the ruled paper background and the little clothespin is too freakin' cute! Why did I not order those???
Beautiful job watercoloring. Great card. I need to practice watercoloring. I tend to stay away as I don't feel I am all that good at it. It will be back to school before we know it!
Ann, this is so cute and perfect for the theme. I love how you did the ribbon and all of the little details like the clothpin, buttons, and spiral edge. Love it!!
Ann this card just POPs off the page. I love the colors and that ribbon is simply devine. I just adore the notebook paper and the spiral punch is the PERFECT accent. i can't believe they retired it with all the new 'school' themed sets... My favorite part is the little clothespin. How cute is that! and I love the tied buttons.
Hugs.
PS: I was soooo excited with the theme because I JUST used RECESS last night to make a card! Off to post.
I had a feeling someone would use this little pair of cuties for their card---absolutely adorable!
What a cute card. Thanks for the tips on watercoloring, I have a problem with that. Do you use a special paper, or will all do? I am a newby trying to figure it out. Thanks
Such a cute card. Love the ribbon treatment. I remember always being excited about the first day of school; oh so long ago!!
You get an A+ on this for content, design, andeverything else! Just adorable. It is definitely in the details and boy, you nailed it on the details from the ribbon to the spiral edge punch you used, buttons, etc. The coloring was definitely A+ too.

So adorable...except I don't want to imagine that time yet! lol
Ann, I love the crisp clean look of this card, and your coloring is just fabulous. The coordinating buttons really finish the card perfectly.
We are readying the house and the kids for back to school. Megan is actually starting high school. AH! Where did the summer go?
This is an absolutely adorable card. The colors just pop off the computer screen - now I have to clean it up again! LOL :) It is too bad SU retired the spiral punch as I am seeing it on so many sites and it was used in the latest magazine. Thanks for blessing my day and inspiring my art. :)
woof, woof - I have to go to the vet tomorrow 'cause I'm scratchin' still and nobody knows why! I do - it itches. Oh by the way, I can come over 'cause I don't have fleas. Maybe I could come over and Muffy and I could stamp! :))))
Thhis card is darling and very appropriate for the kids returning to school. I really like this stamp set. Thanks for sharing.

Ann, you definitely 'go to the head of the class' with this adorable card, fun puns, and great tips!
Ann, your post made me smile! You make it "cool" to go back to school with this fun challenge! Love your card..when don't I? The ruffled ribbon is fabulous! That notebook paper was the paper I WAS looking for to add to my card, but I couldn't remember what DSP pack it was in. Ugh! A+ for a fun challenge this week, Ann! :)
Adorable back to school card! Love the notebook paper & ruffled ribbon. Such perfect details. Thank you for the great tips on water coloring. I've recently purchased the aqua pen & wanted to give it a try with the ink pads. Your tips will be especially handy.
Darling card, Ann! Love the colors; the cherry cobbler reminds me of fall and apple harvest which goes hand in hand with fall semester and football games. As always, thanks for the wonderful instructions. So hard to believe school has started for some and on the horizon for all the others. Daughter and family went home yesterday so will be finishing the unpacking and organizing the stamp space! In withdrawal, have not stamped in over a month! How are the Twins doing? Hugs, Pauline
what a sweet, sweet card! love it!
So cute! TFS
