Once in awhile a challenge comes along which is certainly challenging to me. And that is the case with this week's Pals Paper Arts color challenge: Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight. Not my usual color palette, I must say. And now that the challenge day is here...I can think of all sorts of awesome cards I could have made. Isn't that the way it usually goes???
The Stampin' Schach Design Tips
- Fancy Fan fan! Become a fan of the Fancy Fan letterpress plate! Just brayer a layer of ink over the surface of the plate, and zip it through the Big Shot. Recreate an ink debossed look in the blink of an eye! I brayered Daffodil Delight ink and used Naturals Ivory card stock.
- Fun flowers! Layer images from Raining Flowers and "pop" them up on dimensionals. And what could be better than a Basic Pearl center!
- Ruffles 'n Flourishes! The new In-Color Ruffled Ribbon adds a sweet touch.
- A bevy of butterflies! Pearl bedecked butterflies from three different stamp sets take flight! All were inked in Island Indigo and stamped onto Daffodil Delight card stock.
I hope that you have fun with today's colors! And don't forget that my BLOG CANDY "Paper 'n Stamp Set" giveaway is continuing until tomorrow (Friday) at Midnight CST. To see what is being offered, please CLICK HERE. Your comment is your entry. I would LOVE to hear what you think of today's card. And as always, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time...

WOW! Beautiful! Eye catching! All those wonderful butterflies! Love it! Well done, my friend!
Very pretty! Love the butterflies :)
Not my "comfort zone" of colors either but you pulled it off beautifully!
Very daring with the Island Indigo on Daffodil D paper. It is beautiful!
Thanks for sharing... And yes, gotta have some pearls!! Hehe
Spectacular! I love the use of all the butterflies and don't you just love that letterpress plate!
I love that color combo! How cool that you combined different butterflies, too! and the letterpress plate...LOVE it!!
I love all your choices! Great card!
I admit to cringing a bit myself when I saw the color combination. I am not good with Daffodil Delight; it just seems to take over when I use it.
I love all your butterflies! It was a great idea to use them from different sets. And that letterpress background? Yummy! Why didn't I order that?? :o)
Wow! Beautiful and stunning! I love bright colors so this really does it for me! Love all the different butterflies! I've not been a big fan of the letterpress plates but this one is gorgeous and I love what you've done with it!
That new letterpress looks wonderful - love it done with the yellow! Makes a great background!
Yes, that's how it happens for me too! Can't think of anything on the day you need to get that card done, then all sorts of ideas come *after*ward. Sheesh! Job well done, as always, though, Ann. Love that trail of different butterflie.
Wow! I really like the colors and I do love butterflies! You continue to awe me with your talent!
So pretty. I would have been out of my element using those colors. Your design came together beautifully. You have inspired me to go try that color combination. Thank you for sharing.
You did a great job with these colors. Love all the different butterflies.
Ann I think this card is gorgeous! If you had challenges with the color combo it sure doesn't show! You make things go together with ease. I love your fan fan BG, however, I don't have the letterpress [which intimidates me to death], the flowers are beautiful especially with the pearl center, and the flock(?) of butterflies are FAB-U-LOUS! It feels like they'll fly right off the front. Love it. Hugs.
I love everything about this card. Great colors - not out of my comfort zone! I do love that you used all those different butterflies and I love how they came out. Really a great card!
Beautiful card, nice and bright and summer looking with all the different butterflies, love butter-flies.

You work extremely well outside your comfort zone my friend! This card is exquisite! You nailed this challenge with the flight of butterflies!
I must say you did very well with those colors. I had the chance to use the fan letter press a couple of weeks ago and I too am a fan. D
Ann, your card is beautiful. Even though you were out of your comfort zone you certainly aced the challenge. All the different butterflies are stunning and I love how you used the flower.
Ann, you really made a very difficult color challenge work for you. I love the butterflies. What a great idea to cluster an assortment together like that. Also... I'm a mad fan of the fan plate :-)

Excellent job!!! Jennifer, Calgary
Impressive job, Ann! I zoomed in on the photo to take a closer look at the letter press detail. I love it!
Ann, this is stunning!!! You did an amazing job with the color challenge and I love how you used the letterpress along with the colors of the flower and the details with the butterflies. Terrific!!
Very nice card. Very challenging color combo, but you pulled it off.

What a pretty card using colors out of your "comfort zone"!! Thanks for sharing and for the chance at some sweet blog candy!!
This is a beautiful card. I love the colors, the design and the butterflies. Thank you for sharing.
I love this card. Love the letterpress plate background.
A bright and cherry card-I love it!
All the small details that you put into your cards is amazing. Kathy in AZ
O.k. there is one in every crowd and I gotta say something! It is the butterflies - they look green on my monitor. You did them on another card and I thought the same thing. The rest of the card, I like though they are Michigan colors! Just kidding! I really like the flower! It is a colorful card and I could see where you would have other ideas later on it but it is fine except I just don't care for the butterfly colors. I had better watch it, I will be drummed out of the "pack" before I even make a card!
Butterflies! How fun - what a beautiful card!
Just love it! It's so bright & fun. The yellow & blue are perfect together. I know someone will love receiving this one!
What a happy card! The colors are gorgeous and I love all the butterflies. If you were out of your comfort zone using those colors, it's certainly not evident!
Beautiful card Ann.
Colors go so well together and who doesn't like butterflies. Fantastic card
ColleenB.
Absolutely STUNNING, Ann! What a terrific color combo! XOXO
Love the mix of bright colors...I don't know if I could make some quite as nice with them! Love the butterflies best...what a great way to stamp the color on another color...I need to do that more often! {SMILES}
I wondered what your vintage style would do with these bright colors, & you did not disappoint!! I may just have to get that letterpress plate out & give it a whirl!!
As always -- thanks for sharing!!!
So so pretty! Love how you used the colors. The letterpress BG is fabulous! :o)
