Mojo Snowflake

It's the weekend, and I am finally getting my Mojo on! Inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch, I relied upon my Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions folder to create my background for this card which features my favorite trio of non-traditional holiday colors: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Taken with Teal! Punches-a-plenty also come into play in creating this bling-a-licious card!

The Stampin' Schach Tips:
  • Reduce your workload by using punches whenever possible! I used the 1" Circle Punch to punch out the "Snowflake" center from one of the Delightful Decorations ornaments. The 1-1/4" Square Punch and Photo Corners Punch were used to create the dramatic border. And, the Jumbo Snowflake Punch created the large Rich Razzleberry snowflake.
  • Texture quickly and easily adds drama to your card! Zip that card stock through the Big Shot with a Textured Impressions Folder.
  • Bling it! Rhinestone Circle Brads can always be counted on to add a touch of glamour!
  • Go for the unconventional! I love the look of these colors together! I think that they make for a striking card. Don't be afraid to embrace what you like.
  • If you have questions about today's card, just leave me a comment or send me an email.

love it to say the least ~~ my question/challenge: what are you doing with the rest of the punched out/stamped ornament after you 'steal' the center? TFS!! R ;)

Love these unconventional Christmas colors! And I learned a new vocabulary word - blingalicious! I used to tell my kids when they learned a new word to try to use it that same day in "regular" conversation - I'll let you know how I do =-)
Great card!

Hi, Scrappywonder! I had never thought about those poor neglected center-less ornaments until now! But your question has given me an idea! I still have the punched out ornaments from this and a few others cards. Stay tuned for the results in a few days!

This is gorgeous....that sketch intimidated me, but I love that you substituted the squares for the circles....and I just love everything else about it, too!

I love the blend of colors and patterns. They create a perfect flow. I think this is the greatest use of the photo corner punch I have ever seen. You are innovative and inspiring! Can't wait to see what's next.

Love this colour combination... I wrote down the colours and came back a few hours later to create my own card using the same colour combo... if you're interested, you can see it at http://nancyscreativemess.blogspot.com/2009/09/cool-colour-combo.html

I will admit, I think I like your "formula" for the combination better than mine... I will definitely play with these colours again!
